Here's the full review from our team member Lila:
"I highly enjoyed reading this book, as I love the whole series, the writing style of Claire, and the recurring characters! To read this book, you definitely would have to have read ‘The Dark Artifices’ trilogy, and I recommend reading ‘The Mortal Instruments’ as well to be able to understand the history of the world and the character backstories/motivations.
In terms of plot, the whole book is basically a build up of the events to come, with the characters figuring out what is happening in a ‘puzzle-solving’ style, and it ends on a huge cliff-hanger (as per usual Cassandra Claire) so now I can't wait for the next one! It also has great LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent representation.
I think fans of the series will love this book!"
